ONLINE THERAPY SOLUTIONS TO MEET YOUR UNIQUE NEEDS
The Vocalfort provides pediatric speech, language, and literacy therapy for children of all ages. We have over 25 years of experience helping kids speak, communicate, and read!
DYSLEXIA THERAPY
We use Lexercise™ Structured Literacy to treat reading and spelling difficulties and dyslexia. This research backed instructional method is based on Orton-Gillingham principles to help clients understand and connect the patterns between sounds, letters, and meaning. During each weekly 1-1 session, previous concepts are reviewed, new concepts are introduced, and follow-up work is assigned for home practice. Clients will independently complete 15 minutes of daily targeted practice of skills on the Lexercise platform. Additionally, supplemental parent guided activities will also be provided. Services are appropriate and available for ages 6 through adulthood.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY
We provide engaging online therapy services to children ages 4 and up across Massachusetts, New York, and Florida! We begin with an evaluation to identify your child's strengths and challenges and create a meaningful and tailored therapy plan to help them achieve their goals. We provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language comprehension, and language expression to help your child become a more effective and efficient communicator. Since every child is different, therapy activities rarely look the same! If your child receives school based speech-language services, we can support your child over the summer to ensure they maintain their skills. Speech-Language Therapy is available only to residents of Massachusetts, New York and Florida.

Stephanie Ackerman, MS, CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a certified speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience in the schools and pediatric private practice. I developed an interest in literacy when working at a public school which led me to pursue training in Orton-Gillingham Structured Literacy and to become a Certified Lexercise Dyslexia Therapist. Now, I combine my expertise in speech, language, and literacy to deliver the most comprehensive therapy services to my clients at The Vocalfort.
As a mother of three (now adult) children, I recognize the incredible role that parents and caregivers play in their children’s lives. I take time to build relationships with my clients and their families so that I can offer impactful suggestions and empathetic support throughout the therapy process. In my experience, children make substantially faster progress when their caregivers are involved in sessions and daily home practice.

Personally and professionally, I am always looking to learn something new. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, exploring unfamiliar places, going on walks, and making memories with my family.
